All bunged up!

We had a Renault Master in this week with an extreme lack of power and black smoke emitted. After some diagnosis we could see the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve position was incorrect. After removing the valve it was clear what was causing the problem....

The void you can see on the side of the new unit is completely blocked up with carbon deposits. We replaced the valve, cleared the fault codes and a road test confirmed the repair was successful.
