I have been working as a vehicle technician for ten years now. I worked previously at a Renault main dealer gaining vital experience and completing numerous training courses for diagnosis and repair.I have been ‘into’ cars since I can remember, mainly due to influence from my Dad who even now at 54 years old still takes part in racing events and shows whenever possible, check out our events and blog pages for pics and more information.
I have been a technician for 8 years now, 5 of which I spent at a Ford main dealer also following in my Dad’s footsteps! During this time I completed training courses with top marks in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and gained a professional attitude for repairing vehicles. Keeping up-to-date with latest technologies and diagnostic techniques is my main interest as I get the most reward from fault finding.
I am studying Level 3 Motor Vehicle at Thanet College after completing my Level 2 NVQ, this is my third year at college. I have been working at Kent car craft since 2008. I did my 2 weeks work experience at a Renault main dealer which is where I decided to start studying Motor Vehicle. The thing I enjoy most is attending the race meetings and watching all the fast cars and going around looking at all the cool cars at the car shows.
I'm studying Level 2 Motor Vehicle at Thanet College after completing my Level 1 last year. I enjoyed last year and a lot and this year so far. I did my 2 weeks work experience at KCC which is where it all started for me and now I'm an apprentice here and enjoying every moment of it. I also like going up to the drag racing meetings and shows, they're always really good days out.
I worked as a generator engineer for 20 years, I recently started the sister-company Classic Car Craft next door to Kent Car Craft purely to specialise in British and American classic cars up to the mid eighties. I have always had a keen interest in classics with a colourful car ownership history from Jaguars and Dodges to Chevy, recently including a 70 Camaro rs 350ci. We’re looking to compete next season in the sportsman drag series, keep an eye on our blog for updates.
I have been working at Kent Car Craft since its inception in 2007. My position is mainly secretarial, overseeing all admin duties. I am also the first contact with customers and thier cars. My duties include ordering parts from our suppliers, aiming to provide the technicians with; a) the correct part and b) the best price for the customer. In fact, I endeavour to keep all the 'wheels in motion' throughout the busy workshop day, or - keeping everybody happy! I do have a vested interest in the company, Owen is my son and Dan is my Son - in - law! It is most definately a family orientated business.
